Anthrax epidemic at the Bitlis region

The cutanous anthrax epidemic was identified at the Bitlis region by the Provincial Directorate of Health and other health care workers. The examples, which was taken from the suspicious animals, was sent to Elazığ Control Institute of Veterinary Medicine and confirmed as a anthrax. As a result 543 cattle and 1180 sheeps immunized with the anthrax vaccine. At the same time, there were 12 human cutanous anthrax patients and these patients treated with the appopriate therapeutic agents.
